Cirrus Aircraft has announced pricing for the new single-engine Vision Personal Jet.
Cirrus Aircraft announced this summer that the nearly 500 buyers who have already reserved a single-engine Vision Personal Jet will pay just $1.39 million to fly it away when the first copies roll off the production line. New buyers who get in line by the end of 2009 will pay $1.55 million, and in January the price goes up to $1.72 million. Securing a place requires a deposit of $50,000 to $100,000. Cirrus so far is not saying when deliveries will start, but work continues both to secure investors and to advance the design. The jet will feature flexible seating for up to seven and a cruise speed of 345 mph. The Vision shares many of the features popular in the Cirrus piston line–Cirrus Perspective by Garmin avionics, anti-icing protection, and an airframe parachute system. The prototype first flew in July 2008. – From Robb Report
