Update: This restaurant has closed…
When designing a new restaurant, inspiration is everything. Because in order to succeed, you need a bold idea, one that stands out from the crowd and one that will encourage customers your way. The Vesu Restaurant was designed by Arcsine Architecture and Bellusci Design and is located in the center of a small town called Walnut Creek near San Francisco, California. It is an example of a happy makeover, as the restaurant was previously a piano store with little public appeal.
Vesu Restaurant has an attractive exterior, consisting of a curved wood-panel facade meant to blur out the indoor/outdoor boundaries though generous entrance glass doors. The restaurant logo is an element that can be found integrated in the design of the project several times, creating a strong visual identity.
Once inside, the guests are greeted by state-of-the-art modern arrangements and an inspired interior design. It is a place where luxury feels even more at home than the visitors themselves. It is amazing how despite the fact that Vesu can become crowded at times, the intimate feel is still there. Another interesting factor about this place is the dim lighting, creating an atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and socializing.
