When it comes to mountain lodging, luxury can be envisioned in many ways. The Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Are, Sweden, by architectural firm AIX Arkitekter displays ultimate modern features.
The unusual alpine hotel is well integrated in its breathtaking landscape and offers great views from each of its rooms, categorized as Gold, Brass, Zinc, Silver, Copper and Bronze. According to the architects, the result of their work is “17,000 square meters of hotel rooms, restaurants, conference rooms, bars, spa, heliport and a garage on top of Förberget. Solid base, walls and a three-story high fireplace together with an untreated glulam frame, wall panels in Oregon pine and a one-story high copper wall, which is the main partition in the lounge, has given the hotel its character.” The Copperhill Mountain Lodge is perfect for family getaways, as well as team building sessions and various enthusiastic nature escapes.
