Tyra Banks has listed her Spanish Colonial-style home in Los Angeles on the market for $7.75 million. The host and executive producer of America’s Next Top Model is offloading the 11,000 square feet Beverly Hills estate as she is moving into another home in the Malibu hills.
Built in 1926 and located in Beverly Hills Post Office area, the four-bedroom house also accommodates five full baths and two partial baths.Tyra had purchased the 6,000 square feet home in 2004 for $3.085 million and spent additional $2 million on renovating it over the past decade.Tyra Banks had fallen for the property the moment she had laid her eyes on it as she claims that, “The stunning Spanish architecture spoke to me the minute I walked in the door.” She also added, “I loved living in this house.”The stunning house maintains its original details such as a terra-cotta tiled roof and exposed wood beams. However Ms. Banks remodeled the kitchen and added an outdoor kitchen as well as an outdoor living room with a fireplace and television, where she enjoyed spending summer evenings.Tyra also adores the sun room, off dining room, that according to her is “an inviting room to sit and have tea.”The home’s master suite has a sitting room with a city view and a safe room inside a walk-in closet. Two additional bedroom suites, media room, library, formal dining, chef’s kitchen, maid’s, and outdoor casita complete this romantic secluded compound. The home also boasts of a heated swimming pool, four outdoor fountains and ornamental ironwork. The garage has also been transformed in to a gym by the 41 year old supermodel.Ms. Banks also owns property in New York City and a condo in Battery Park City. The Wall Street Journal Via Sotheby’s
