Chelsea is home to the Dream Downtown Hotel, an amazing New York boutique hotel. The 12-story trendy hotel, designed by New York-based architects Handel Architects, includes 316 guest rooms, two restaurants, rooftop and VIP lounges, outdoor pool and pool bar, a gym, event space, and ground floor retail.
The staff, young guys in black/grey casual street style uniforms, took good care of us at arrival and departure. Our room was rather small but still OK with a large bed and a well-equipped stylish bathroom. A state of the art tv/sound/phone/computer system was also in place to cater any communicative needs. We discovered flipflops and bath robes in the lovely bathrooms complete with really tantalising give-aways. The beds are huge and so comfortable. The views from the terrace at the PHD bar must be the best in the city. The area is so villagey- buzzy bars and restaurant mix with great diners and cafes.
