Looking for the finest in southern hospitality? Go no further than the Fearrington House Country Inn, near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This five-star bed and breakfast offers a perfect mixtures of country style and modern sophistication.
The Fearrington is part of a collection of unique village shops, and began life as a dairy barn. The 33 rooms and suites feature a rural theme with canopied beds and original art.
The hallmark of the Fearrington is the easy-going atmosphere of the region. It features trellised gardens, water sculptures, beautiful gardens, and a first class restaurant that make this a perfect romantic getaway. The Fearrington also offers private culinary classes for those inclined to cook their afternoons (and nights) away. And if you’re looking for great wine and food to match, the restaurant is exceptional. And don’t forget their spa.
Finally, one of the wonderful experiences about staying at the Fearrington is the surrounding shops. The resort is surrounded by a dozen or so unique shops with one-of-a-kind items. The village offers weekly author events, wine tastings, plus antique and art shows.
As always, the Pursuitist didn’t get anything for this review. We do it because the Fearrington House Country Inn is the kind of place we want to share with our loyal readers.
