Comedian Jimmy Fallon has successfully brought back “The Tonight Show” to New York with a star-studded debut that included Will Smith and U2.
Now that he’s the host of “The Tonight Show,” Fallon collected on his $100 bet with friends like Robert De Niro, Lady Gaga, Tina Fey, Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian, Mike Tyson and Joan Rivers.
After an exile of nearly 30 years, Rivers’ appearance is significant — as Johnny Carson banned her from “The Tonight Show” in 1986. Of the end of her banishment, the 80-year-old comedian said: “It’s about time! I’ve been sitting in a taxi outside NBC with the meter running since 1987.”
