Tiffany & Co., Daniel Arsham and The Pokémon Company have collaborated to launch an exclusive Pokémon-themed jewelry line, featuring a standout Pikachu pendant priced at $29,000.
In an unprecedented fusion of high-end luxury and pop culture, Tiffany & Co. and Daniel Arsham have joined forces with The Pokémon Company, presenting a dazzling array of Pokémon-themed jewelry. At the pinnacle of this exclusive collection stands a magnificent Pikachu pendant, crafted from 18-karat yellow gold and embellished with sparkling diamond accents. This showpiece is available in two sizes, with the larger variant priced at a staggering $29,000, and its smaller counterpart at $9,900.
This collection, a brainchild of the collaboration with celebrated contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, features a total of nine unique pieces. Among these, seven pendants are meticulously crafted from oxidized sterling silver, each adorned with diamond accents and representing different iconic Pokémon characters – Pikachu, Cubone, Charmander, Mew, Jigglypuff, and Squirtle. Fans will notice the absence of Bulbasaur, a beloved character from Pokémon Green, from this lineup. Each of these silver pendants is priced at a more accessible $1,290, offering a range of choices for enthusiasts and collectors.
“My latest collaboration with Tiffany & Co. is a combination of pop culture, fine jewelry and art,” Arsham told Pursuitist.
“Pokémon has had an immense presence ever since I was a child, and this capsule collection celebrates the influence Pokémon has had in my work and my long-standing partnership with a heritage brand like Tiffany & Co. Both are inextricable from the cultural footprint of the past, present and future.”
This limited-edition collection, named Tiffany x Arsham Studio x Pokémon, will be available for purchase exclusively for a 24-hour window, starting on November 29 at 6 am Pacific Time on the Tiffany & Co. website. The collection will also be available at two prestigious locations: Tiffany & Co Landmark in New York and the Omotesando store in Tokyo, starting December 1.
Each piece in this collection is presented in unique packaging – the silver pendants in a blue box with Tiffany x Arsham Studio x Pokémon branding, and the luxurious Pikachu pendants in a Tiffany Blue Pokéball, symbolizing the melding of luxury and playful nostalgia. This collection not only celebrates the enduring legacy of Pokémon but also marks a novel chapter in the world of luxury jewelry, where imagination meets opulence.
Arsham expressed his enthusiasm for this blend of pop culture, fine jewelry, and art, noting the significant influence of Pokémon in his work and the lasting impact of his partnership with Tiffany & Co. He emphasized the cultural significance of both brands, describing their collaboration as a recontextualization of Pokémon, drawing parallels with his 2022 “A Ripple in Time” project in Tokyo.
