The Smokehouse Room is a recently designed restaurant with a highly modern appearance, located in New Delhi, India. Attached to it, there is a bold nightclub called SHRoom. Both these units were developed by Busride Design Studio and are presented in the images below. The new projects are located near the Qutub Heritage complex, a series of monuments which date back centuries.
The Smokehouse Room features three distinct areas, all of them displaying an organic design, with furniture elements that seems to melt into each other: “We worked on a molten design form, that creeps up the edges of the spaces, sculpting out functionality. The idea was to work on flexible, eccentric seating ideas, including the mound-like barstools, and the floor hugging organic sofa form, such that it creates multiple seating options, for different Bar requirements“- explained the designers at Busride Design Studio. The Smokehouse Room has a total of 40 seats, and offers its guests the possibility to enjoy centuries of history through modern lenses.
Perfect for informal gatherings and late night drinks, the adjacent club welcomes customers in an unusual-themed interior: an exploding canopy of mushrooms. The place is a true spectacle of lights : “With SHRoom we created a completely immersive Audio-Visual Environment, in what is intended to be the closest replica of the psychedelic mind-bending experience“-declared the designers.
