As Vail celebrates its 50th Anniversary, there are countless special events and activities, from concerts to ski racing and snowboard competitions planned at the Colorado destination that has grown to become the largest ski resort in the country.
Perhaps the most luxurious way to enjoy Vail is at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, which offers units for purchase as well as for nightly guests who want the amenities of a five star hotel while enjoying the comforts of a home.
Located within walking distance of The Eagle Bahn Gondola, the Ritz-Carlton units range in size from 1,500 square feet to more than 4,600 square feet. Since it opened in September 2010, the property has become one of the most exclusive addresses in Vail. Pursuitist toured the expansive property and while it offers all the amenities of a luxury hotel property, it was incredibly quiet.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, which has a total of 71 residences, currently has 26 units available for purchase, including two, three, four and five bedroom units) that range in price from $2.4 million to $8.9 million. Residences overlook Vail Mountain, Vail Valley or the beautifully landscaped gardens and center courtyard.
The Bavarian-style building developed by Vail Resorts Development Company, features cutting-edge technology and premium construction standards. Units have breathtaking views and their oversized rooms feature Alder crown moldings and hickory floors, coffered ceilings, terraces and fireplaces. Kitchens are outfitted with granite counters and Bosch appliances while bathrooms are finished with marble and feature steam showers and soaking tubs.
The property offers a year-round swimming pool with a fire pit, heated terraces, a fitness center, spa treatment rooms and a teen room. There is a bar that offers après ski cocktails, light fare and snacks while a dining service provides room service for each residence. The property also has a full-time bell service, concierge, housekeeping services, residence maintenance and valet parking in a heated garage.
Purchasers of the Ritz-Carlton Residences who buy this winter receive two lifetime ski passes (valid for 60 years) and 50 private ski or snowboard lessons. In addition, owners are given a social family membership to The Arrabelle Club as part of the purchase price of a residence. Membership includes a personalized ski valet, private locker facility, complimentary daily continental breakfast, and access to the spa, fitness facility and rooftop pool.
Unit owners have the option of renting out their unit or reserving it solely for themselves. When rented out, each unit receives twice-daily maid service. Nightly rates for a two-bedroom residence ranges from $499 to $3,200; nightly rates for a four-bedroom residence ranges from $799 to $6,000.
