We’ve seen our fair share of Mother’s Day packages pop up this past week, and, while it’s certainly nice to honor mom, we’ll be honest and say that we haven’t seen many that are Pursuitist worthy. Until now.
Cape Town’s popular Taj hotel is offering up a new “Mom in a Million” package with a price tag of 1 million South African Rand (about $95,000) designed as a weekend-long escape for that most important (or second most important) woman in your life.
Start with two first class airfare tickets from anywhere in the world. You’ll get picked up from the airport in a chauffer driven Jaguar or Range Rover and whisked to the hotel’s Presidential Suite, which spans the top two floors of the hotel.
Mom’s comfort and serenity is guaranteed during her two nights stay in the penthouse, which includes two spacious bedrooms, a formal dining area, a large study, a personal exercise room, spa treatment room and steam room.
One afternoon, Mom will get a personal wardrobe consult from Kluk CGDT—she’ll get two new custom pieces just for her— and be whisked off for a blowout or hair treatment at one of the city’s stylish salons.
That night, enjoy a gourmet dinner at Taj Cape Town’s restaurant, Bombay Brasserie.
The next morning, Mom is in for a real treat when she gets a private consult at Graaf Diamonds and a about a $10,000 credit towards jewelry. Next up? An appointment with Frazer Perfume, purveyor of custom made scents, where Mom can take her time devising her own unique fragrance profile.
Of course, what would the afternoon be without some private air transport and spa treatments?
Saturday afternoon, the family will take to the air in a private helicopter charter from Cape Town to the spectacular wine lands for a gourmet lunch. That afternoon, mom will get a special treatment back at the Presidential Suite.
The weekend finishes with a party for up to eight guests over lunch in the Presidential Suite with a private chef catering the affair. One of Cape Town’s top photographers will be on hand during proceedings to capture moments that Mom will treasure forever.
Sounds like something we’d love to offer our moms – what do you think?
