One of the hotels on our bucket list has long been the Maldives’ One&Only Reethi Rah, but their newest addition, six new Water Villas with Pools, give us yet another reason to drool over a visit. The new over-water suites now feature private fresh-water infinity pools (measuring nearly 325 square feet each), luxurious day beds and generous verandas with hammocks suspended from the decks.
The 850-square-foot Water Villas already offer Asian-influenced design and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, plus a private location in clusters of four configured in such a way that even guests in adjacent villas are completely unaware of one another.
There’s hardly a bad room in the resort — all villas on property enjoy spectacular ocean views, direct access to the secluded lagoon and come with a dedicated concierge, but we’d definitely book these if given the chance.
