The news begins an expected onslaught of marketing featuring the iconic DC super hero.
The new logo will be everywhere. Expect it to be employed by DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, WB Television, WB Animation, WB Interactive Entertainment, Warner Home Entertainment and WB Consumer Products – on Superman-related products and initiatives.
The first use of the logo will be Superman Unchained from DC Comics, which goes on sale June 12.
The big Superman event of 2014 will by Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, which opens on June 14. After that, the new logo should pop up in Infinite Crisis, a new online battle arena game from WB Interactive.
Expect a bigger anniversary in 2014 – when a certain Dark Knight turns 75.
