Set against a splendidly green open meadow surrounded by mountains, the Miura Hotel can be found in Celadna, Czech Republic. With a concrete, rusting Corten steel sheets and purple glass facade, the hotel attracts and intrigues. Imagined by Prague-based architectural studio Labor 13, the concrete construction was matched with wood, stainless steel sheets and Corian elements.
This highly modern choice of materials were combined with contemporary furniture and furnishings to offer guests visual and physical comfort. Lighting from Artemide throughout, and furniture from Moroso, Kartell, Alias, Pedralli, Poliform, Paola Lenti, Magis, KFF and Vondom compose a modern interior design. Special furniture items were designed for this amazing hotel: the levitation beds in the private spa by Lucie Koldová, the carbon table in the Boardroom by Jerry Koza and the cosmic tables in various colors by Vladimír Ambroz.
A member of Design Hotels, the Miura Hotel offers 44 rooms and apartments, each unique and facing south, gathering panoramas of the surrounding Beskydy countryside. Displaying an architecture that seems to be almost levitating, the hotel was split into three parts, with the reception area in the middle, alongside the lobby bar, the night bar and the restaurant. Two conference rooms below ground serve business purposes, while the Miura spa in the same location pampers everyone who needs time away from the stressful world we live in.
