After opening cupcake ATMs in LA, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas, the Beverly Hills-based company Sprinkles has finally unveiled a delicious ATM in New York.
The pink cupcake ATM, located on Lexington Avenue between 60th and 61st streets next to Sprinkles’ Manhattan bakery, can hold 760 cupcakes and is restocked several times a day.
“Once a customer chooses a flavor they want, the robotic arm goes to that location, pulls the cupcake, keeps it level in its perfect little box and delivers it to the door and there you go,” said Mara Weber of Sprinkle Cupcakes.
Each cupcake costs $4.25. Flavors include red velvet, Cuban coffee, banana dark chocolate and cinnamon sugar. Also, there are offerings for dogs, as the ATM dispenses two mini-cupcakes for $5. Currently, the canine cupcakes come in one flavor, are sugar-free, and have a yogurt frosting.
