Saks is updating to try and keep up with the world.
New York-based Saks Fifth Avenue will unveil the new look of its New York flagship’s third floor this September. Following a yearlong renovation, the 50,000-sq.-ft. space will house 23 designer shops, as well as the only leased department in the United States to feature the complete collection of Louis Vuitton, and a new Fifth Avenue Club. A central area of the floor is reserved for up-and-coming designers, whose collections were recently added to the New York store for fall. The redesigned Fifth Avenue Club offers new fitting rooms, a VIP suite and views overlooking Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Highlights of the third-floor renovation include onyx walls and a Swarovski installation. – From Contract Magazine
