Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that Jon Colbeth has been appointed President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America, effective January 1, 2025
“I am delighted to welcome Jon Colbeth to his new role as President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America. Jon’s intimate knowledge of the Rolls-Royce brand and our clients’ needs, combined with his exceptional track record across the BMW Group, make him ideally suited to lead our largest global market. We thank Martin for his outstanding contribution to Rolls-Royce’s success in the Americas. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening our position in this crucial market, and we wish him continued success in his new role within the BMW Group.” Julian Jenkins, Director of Sales and Brand for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
Colbeth joins Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America from his previous role as Global Head of Ownership Services at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, based in Goodwood, England. In this position, which he has held since May 2018, Colbeth was responsible for all aspects of the post-purchase customer journey. During his tenure in Goodwood, he established strong personal relationships with dealers and clients worldwide.
Colbeth has transformed the global ownership experience through several initiatives, including establishing a new state-of-the-art parts distribution network that ensures seamless service support for clients worldwide. He also pioneered the marque’s first-ever extended ownership program, providing clients with peace of mind throughout their Rolls-Royce journey.
His leadership of the Ownership Services division resulted in record levels of global client satisfaction while introducing innovative new offerings. He also expanded the brand’s accessory business, strengthening the bond between the world’s leading luxury brand and its exclusive clientele.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Colbeth held several key positions within the BMW Group. He joined the BMW Group in North America in 2007, holding various leadership positions across Parts Logistics and Ownership Experience organizations. In 2015, he took on his first international assignment as Aftersales Director of Northern Europe, based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Colbeth replaces Martin Fritsches, who is moving to a new position within the BMW Group after a highly successful tenure as President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America.
Since joining in May 2018, Fritsches has overseen the brand’s transformation into a younger, more dynamic presence in the Americas. Rolls-Royce has cultivated the youngest client base in the group and successfully overhauled its lineup with multiple new product introductions, including Spectre, the first all-electric Rolls-Royce.
During Fritsches’ tenure, the Americas region achieved the highest Brand Scorecard ever for Rolls-Royce. The relationship with the 44 Rolls-Royce dealers in the market improved dramatically, with stronger dealer satisfaction scores and implementation of the new Rolls-Royce Visual Identity across the network. Most recently, Rolls-Royce opened Private Office New York, enhancing client engagement, and increasing the value of each commission.
These efforts resulted in consistent growth in volume and, more importantly, increased value for every Rolls-Royce commission delivered in the region. In 2023 and 2024, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America set records for sales, Bespoke value, and contribution to Group profits, while remaining the largest global market for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
