Divas can raise a toast with a shoe and move on to drink out of it too! The Rivoli Bar at The Ritz London has launched a new Tallulah cocktail which is poured from a vintage styled perfume bottle in to the bespoke Piper-Heidsieck Christian Louboutin shoe flute.
Infused with style and glamour the special cocktail is served by head bartender Walter Pintus. The Tallulah cocktail has been inspired by the 1951 incident of American actress Tallulah Bankhead sipping Champagne from her slipper during a press conference to celebrate her arrival in London. Served at The Ritz’s intimate cocktail lounge, this celebratory drink is a perfect blend of Soshu Japanese spirit, Jasmine Pearl tea, Cinzano Bianco, geranium essence and Piper Heidsieck champagne. The stunning six-inch crystal stiletto stands on a translucent sole which is saturated by the signature Christian Louboutin red hue. London girls do not need an excuse to put their best foot forward in their loubis and head to The Ritz at Piccadilly. Moreover, each beverage will be accompanied by a numbered scroll, allowing the guests to take away a little piece of Ritz history for themselves.
Take a look at the image of Tallulah Bankhead attempting to sip the champagne from her slipper during a press conference in 1951.
