The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has announced Bali, Indonesia as the next location of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The secluded resort is set to open in Ubud in the summer of 2015, joining their Reserve collection which includes Phulay Bay, Thailand and Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.
The location of Ubud is in the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali, in a district known for its arts and crafts as well as temples and monasteries. This property is located in the secluded hills along the Ayung River, with beautiful views of Bali’s terraced rice paddy fields and a village temple.
“We are delighted to announce another exclusive Reserve project to the hand-selected portfolio. Bali is a well established destination for luxury travelers and we are confident that our resort in Ubud will raise the bar for style, service, and quality in the area” Herve Humler, President and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, told Pursuitist.
“The Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers guests a contemporary interpretation of the local lifestyle and culture. The concept is simple, yet exudes style and luxurious levels of comfort. The resorts provide a complete escape to the unexpected; a private, exclusive leisure experience that blends unique elements of the local culture, history, and heritage with intuitive individual service, exquisite indigenous design, casual ambience and respect for the surrounding environment,” he added.
The property will have 60 intimate villas and suites showcasing native architectural features indigenous to Bali with elements of the native art scene. Each villa will feature lush gardens, hillside views and meditative areas.
Last but not least, each guest will have a dedicated butler on hand to personalize any unique request, from the creation of romantic dining under the stars, tailored spa experiences at the edge of the jungle, personalized chef specialty menus and off-the-beaten-track excursions.
