Rather than introducing looks on the runway, Topshop plans to bring its Unique spring show straight to fashion fans via social media, showcasing a selection of looks solely on its Facebook page, according to reports by Women’s Wear Daily.
While the popular British brand has a track record for stirring up retail revolution — mainly wanting to bring its wares straight to the spenders — this news doesn’t exactly mean that it’s giving the cold shoulder to the catwalk.
Images from Topshop’s Unique spring collection will be available first on Facebook, with images showcasing the detail of the designs. The show will then be live-streamed Sunday at 3 pm in London on Topshop’s Web site and at its Oxford Circus store.
And then, for the social media shopper, the best part! Immediately following the show, six pieces from the runway will be available for customers to buy (with prompt delivery, not just pre-order) at Topshop’s Oxford Circus store and on topshop.com.
