Stay warm – in style – courtesy of Ralph Lauren in this sharp new jacket.
In his ongoing effort to bridge the world of luxury and technology, Ralph Lauren has introduced a dual-purpose jacket, dubbed the Remote, to his sporty RLX label. As a style statement, it is a motocross-inspired lightweight nylon oxford jacket, but it comes with a built-in Recco avalanche detection device capable of transmitting a signal to rescue workers in the case of an emergency. The $1,895 waterproof Remote comes with an attachable inner shell filled with Primaloft Holofil, a synthetic insulation, to provide warmth without bulk when hitting the slopes, and a number of design features, including extra padding at the elbows and shoulders, front and back air vents, and a “cockpit collar” with air-bag chin flaps for greater comfort and warmth at the neck. The Remote is also accented with reflective tape to aid visibility at night. – From Robb Report
