Plaited Rug Collection Exploring Traditional Hand-Knotting Techniques

Paris-based designer Samuel Accoceberry created the Tresse Rug Collection for Chevalier Edition as a means to evoke the importance of keeping traditional elements alive. Integrating our history into our present gives us access to the power of reconfiguring our future.

“Tresse” means “plait” in french, hinting towards the seven elements plaited into a highly contemporary design. Traditional hand-knotting techniques were used by the designer to construct a modern interpretation of existing knowledge. Different colors can be interwoven in the design, standing out through pattern and boldness of shape. Prepared to adorn minimalist interiors with an enchanting mix of color and pattern, these rugs come in different shapes and sizes. The collection’s versatility speaks about a customizable intent. This collection definitely matches many modern interiors I’ve seen.
