If you’re lucky enough to live in the Las Vegas valley or a similarly summery environment, then you should consider adding a backyard kitchen. A growing number of home owners are considering outdoor kitchens an important element of their mixed “in-out” way of life. Terrence Thornton, a kitchen and landscaper designer in the Las Vegas area, says that he has been employed by an increasing number of home owners who wish to add kitchens to the outdoor areas of their properties. This is a way of integrating nature into your living arrangements, and you can do it without surrendering any of the comforts and conveniences of the indoors.
Some outdoor kitchens are as simple as a grill or two accompanied by built in cabinets. However, some home owners are going for something more elaborate, and including bar fridges and sinks for food prep. The outdoor kitchen can even include a full, wood-burning pizza oven, which surprisingly comes in handy more often than you’d think. No matter how big or small you choose to go with your outdoor kitchen, it’s sure to bring a whole new dimension to hosting. A particularly elaborate patio kitchen, in fact, can allow professional chefs to show off their chops to an admiring crowd of diners.
