The design of this new Taizu – Asia Terranean Kitchen located in Tel Aviv, Israel is based on the five elements of ancient Chinese Philosophy: Fire, Water, Metal, Wood and Earth. An overall casual atmosphere is displayed by the venue, creatively developed by Pitsou Kedem Architects and Baranowitz-Amit Studio.
Once inside, visitors experience an original interpretation of Asia, evoking the chef’s travels through the Far East, in India, China, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The banana leaf is the main design motif spread throughout the restaurant, in the shape of patterns on the concrete walls and as constitutive elements for the wooden separating panels. The place is divided into five seating regions, each individualized through special colors and materials. Although the overall feeling of the venue is casual, the main dining space-separated by the kitchen through glass walls- is elegant and a bit formal, but not less original and charming.
