Nissan has released a teaser image of the upcoming Sports Sedan Concept, which will debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month. The Sport Sedan Concept will be joined by the North America debuts of the Nissan IDx Freeflow and IDx NISMO concepts, both of which were unveiled at the recent Tokyo Motor Show.
The Sport Sedan Concept is Nissan’s approach to applying sports car principles to a sedan. Some of those ideas were on display when the IDx Freeflow and IDx NISMO were unveiled. They sported innovative and eye-catching designs for a compact car – one casual, one sporty.
The Sport Sedan Concept teaser image shows a swooping hood line, low roof and the Nissan’s v-shaped grille. Nothing terribly revealing – but enough to catch our eye.
It will be interesting to see where Nissan goes with the Sports Sedan Concept. It could be a big shrug in the end – but we hope Nissan actually takes up the challenge and delivers something special.
