New York’s Loews Regency Hotel has launched a partnership with Central Park Conservancy to introduce “Park to Park”, a special vacation package that offers its guests exclusive access to the most famous and iconic park in the country.
The package offers Loews guests a private, walking tour of one of Manhattan’s most culturally significant attractions, as well as a host of Central Park themed goodies and surprises for a quintessentially New York experience. Guests will learn more about the park’s rich history and various milestones, while gaining insight into the lesser known facts about the park from one of Central Park Conservancy’s Official Tour Guides.
The package includes a one-hour private, walking tour of Central Park, highlighting the most interesting hidden gems and little-known facts about the 843-acre masterpiece of landscape architecture. After an afternoon of exploring, guests unwind with two complimentary cocktails at The Regency Bar & Grill, the new culinary concept managed by famed New York restaurateurs Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli of the Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group, and helmed by culinary heavy-hitter Executive Chef Dan Silverman.
Visitors will also receive their very own autographed copy of Central Park, An American Masterpiece, the authoritative account of the nation’s first public park written by Sara Cedar Miller. Additionally, visitors will take home a Central Park Conservancy branded tote bag and two Central Park Conservancy branded hats.
“Given the hotel’s ideal location just steps away from Central Park, this partnership was a natural fit,” says Jim McPartlin, Managing Director, Loews Regency Hotel. “We are excited to offer guests a closer look at this treasured city landmark, and to continue putting the very best of the city at our guest’s fingertips for an unmatched, authentic New York experience.
Central Park Conservancy is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to restoring, managing and enhancing Central Park in partnership with the public, and is widely respected as a leader of urban park management and restoration. The Conservancy raises 75% of the funds needed to care for the Park. Since its founding in 1980, the organization has invested over $700 million in its ongoing efforts to provide a legacy for future generations.
Loews Regency’s involvement with Central Park Conservancy extends beyond Park to Park. Most recently, The Regency Bar & Grill’s Executive Chef Dan Silverman participated in Taste of Summer, a summer benefit event in Central Park featuring culinary delights prepared by New York City’s most renowned chefs. All funds raised at the event go to support the Conservancy’s mission. Additionally, this August, 30 hotel team members will spend a “Day in the Dirt”, the corporate volunteering program of Central Park Conservancy.
Rates start at $609 per night, depending on the chosen room/suite category and are valid until November 30th, 2014. The package must be booked at least 48 hours in advance; tours are available seven days a week, excluding holidays and are based on availability.
The iconic Loews Regency Hotel reopened on January 16, 2014 following an extensive revitalization. The transformed property features 379 guest rooms including 58 suites.
