June marks the release of some quality box sets from the Moody Blues, ZZ Top and the Allman Brothers.
Moody Blues fans are in for an enormous treat with Timeless Flight, a 17-disc set that includes 11 CDs, three video-DVDs and three audio-only DVDs. There’s also a 120-page hardback book and other memorabilia. The cost is a steep $300. Available June 25.
Next up is Rhino’s release of all the ZZ Top albums from 1970-1990 in June. The Studio Albums 1970-1990 has 10 albums, and is available in June for a bargain price of $40.
June 17 marks the release of a four-CD box set of the Allman Brothers‘ album Brothers and Sisters. The set includes the remastered album, a disc of outtakes, rehearsals and jam sessions, and two discs of live material from a complete 1973 concert recorded at The Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco.
