Enjoying the sunshine and the ocean’s breeze is one sure way to uplift your spirit. If you chose California as your next destination, you should know that Hotel Seven4One in Laguna Beach was recently renovated and remodeled by local studio Horst Architects. Welcoming its international guests with a modern that “reflects a forward-looking, contemporary design aesthetic while at the same time, a contextual response to Laguna Beach’s historic cottage aesthetic, such as the adjacent historic Orange Inn which was established in 1931”, the hotel showcases an interesting overall look.
Reclaimed wood dresses the facade on one side and lines the rest of the building, while a two-story green wall creeps up the building, creating a fabulous contemporary appearance. This green wall mirrors the hills that surround the community, sparking up the interest in sustainability alongside the earthy-looking wood and steel. Corten steel was used to define the windows and door of this building that seems to cut through the inclined street. Step inside and enjoy the marvelously relaxing design that will help you build fantastic vacation memories and enjoy your stay!
