Miss Dior kicked off to a good start in 2015 with the new runaway-bride-themed campaign of the fragrance. To celebrate the onset of spring season, the French luxury brand has launched Miss Dior Edition d’Exception. Originally created in 1947 by Christian Dior, Miss Dior is his first and the brand’s bestselling fragrance till date.
The house Dior pays homage to this legendary perfume that is characterized by an instant and captivating charm. Miss Dior 2015 edition has not been altered and contains the same concoction of citrus accords of mandarin, Egyptian jasmine, rose, Indonesian patchouli and musk as featured in Miss Dior Eau de Parfum developed by perfumer Francois Demachy in 2012. It is a chypre that glides from the sharp charm of a fresh, fruity, citrus prelude into blossoming floral notes, then on to the noble elegance of patchouli, before finally concluding with musk, the last trace of memory.
The highlight is on the new packaging that adds more feminine touch to the decanter. Miss Dior Edition d’Exception is dressed up with a designer lace bow and it is known that Dior used 5.5 meters of lace to create the 25 hand-made bows. Each lace bow sits elegantly around the crystal bottle’s cap which is decorated with a floral motif created by a technique similar to watercolor painting.
Created for an “elegant and spirited young woman in love”, Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is romantic by nature. It inspires an intense and playful love, for which she is also searching. She personifies the spontaneous joie de vivre of today’s young women, representing a particular type of freedom and seduction.
With veritable riches concealed in her heart and on her neck, Miss Dior Edition d’Exception is unveiled in a limited edition of 25 bottles, each 200 ml sporting a $1,995 tag.
