Damn, this looks sweet.
Famed UK racing marque McLaren has finally unveiled the long-awaited successor to its F1 supercar, dubbed the MP4-12C. Yes, they had a hand in the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR, but that’s much more a Merc than this stunner, which is built entirely in-house. At its core is a carbon fibre chassis structure, the incredibly lightweight Carbon MonoCell. MP4 stands for McLaren Project 4, resulting from the merger of Ron Dennis’ Project 4 with McLaren for Formula 1 racing. The 12 refers to McLaren’s internal Vehicle Performance Index while the C refers to carbon. – From James List
