Max Mara Launches Two Limited Edition ‪‎Whitney Bag‬ Anniversary Editions

Max Mara is celebrating the 1st anniversary of the Whitney Bag by launching two exclusive Anniversary Editions inspired by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, founder of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.

Created in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, the designers behind the Whitney Museum, designed the limited edition bag that also marks the museum’s one-year anniversary.

The Whitney Bag Anniversary Edition is available in a new pearl shade with two options, one with a decorative leaf and another with a flower.

The Whitney Bag Anniversary Edition is shaped from soft leather and is designed to be carried with double handles as well as a removable shoulder strap. Personalized with a decorative motif in slight relief, it is finished with a hot-stamped interior limited-edition number.

The two interior compartments clad with suede-effect fabric are divided by a partition with a matt palladium-colored galvanised metal zip.

The two precious limited-edition versions are available in only 400 numbered pieces, of which 25 of each model will be available online.

Beginning 27th April, the Whitney Bag Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively online, in selected boutiques globally and at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

The Whitney Bag was originally launched in April 2015 to honor the opening of the museum’s new location at 99 Gansevoort Street, New York.
