Maserati may conjure up images of Formula One race cars, but the company is aiming squarely at luxury consumers with its latest offering, the Maserati Kubang SUV, which was unveiled at the 64th Frankfurt Auto Show.
Maserati will start building the Kubang in 2013. They have stated they want to produce 40,000 SUVs by 2015 in an ambitious bid to make some serious in roads in the lucrative luxury SUV market.
The Kubang was designed by Maserati’s Lorenzo Ramaciotti. It is a large, imposing vehicle with massive wheels and grille. It is aimed right at the large SUV market.
Few details about the vehicle have been released – but it will likely be an impressive offering (and an impressive price).
