As the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos face off in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2, here’s a look inside the opulent luxury suites at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Watch the game of the year in style in suites designed by celebrity architect David Rockwell, who’s designed the Academy-award hosting Kodak Theatre and the W in Union Square. Each luxury suite holds anywhere from 12-30 guests and features a private entrance and lobby, suite level washrooms, flat-panel televisions, a wet bar and refrigerator, and of course amazing views of the field.
The 220 luxury suites at the stadium normally range from $220,000 to more than $800,000, depending on market value — and it’s rumored that one climate-controlled suite for the Seattle-Denver matchup went for $1,019,000 on the secondary ticket market.
“The weather is a big factor,” Seatgeek.com spokesman Connor Gregoire told the NYPost. “It’s going to be cold, and being inside comes at a higher price.”
Scandal-prone New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be watching the Sunday Super Bowl from one of the luxury suites with his family and guest Rudy Giuliani.
