For those skiers and snowboarders who want bragging rights, The Alpina Gstaad is offering a new program this winter. With the luxury hotel’s new “Ski Safari,” guests can ski or snowboard at three Alpine resorts in a single day.
The Alpina Gstaad’s private shuttle (a Range Rover Autobiography or Mercedes V-Class) will transfer guests to the heliport in Gstaad 10 minutes away. A 25-minute helicopter ride takes them to St. Moritz Corvatsch, right in the middle of the resort’s ski area. After a couple of hours of skiing or snowboarding, The Alpina Gstaad’s guests head back to the airport to helicopter over to Zermatt’s Testa Grigia on the Italian side of the Matterhorn. After two or three more hours of skiing or snowboarding and a stop for lunch, the skiers and snowboarders helicopter back to Gstaad. Depending on how long guests spend lunching, they may be able to get in a last run down one of the runs in Gstaad before calling it a day.
The “Ski Safari” package includes the private shuttle between the airports and slopes in Gstaad, St. Moritz and Zermatt, the helicopter flights, ski passes at all three resorts and one night in a Deluxe Room Schönried, breakfast, a CHF 100 culinary credit, all taxes and VAT and starts at CHF 12,000 (or about US$11,910).
The Alpina Gstaad is one of our most-loved Swiss resorts, topping most publications’ “Best” lists, and is part of the Legend Collection of Preferred Hotels and Resorts.
Sounds pretty awesome, right?
