Welcome to a striking holiday home developed by Australian studio Madeleine Blanchfield Architects near Savusavu, in the Fiji Islands. Korovesi Villa is nestled in a lush green landscape and features extensive views over Savusavu bay. With its five beautiful bedrooms, private garden, swimming pool and beach, the retreat offers an opulent South Pacific experience.
Built on an irregular terrain, it appears that the individual roofs of the building complex are almost camouflaged in the landscape. For a lower impact on the environment, the architects used wood extensively, resulting in a highly inviting place of refuge. The structure of the project is described as “seven separate buildings on two levels. The kitchen, living area, spacious master bedroom and infinity pool comprise the upper level while the lower level houses four bures”. This makes the retreat particularly appealing for large families and groups of friends. A stay here is priced from $5,600 to $11,200 per week, depending on the season and number of guests.
