When we think of wine-themed getaways in the US, we’d typically consider Napa to be our top spot, and a romantic dining experience to be something like editor Chris’ recent meal at The French Laundry (details coming this week!) That was, until we learned about Oregon’s The Allison Inn & Spa, a Forbes Four Star retreat home to an intimate dining experience that is perfect for the holidays.
Get #LuxeInLove this Valentine’s Day with a res at The Chef’s Table, which seats groups of 2-10 people, and is available for one evening at a minimum of $1,200. Each meal has a customized menu created by Executive Chef Sunny Jin (formerly of El Bulli and French Laundry) and a wine pairing from the on-property sommelier.
The personal dining room boasts stunning ambiance with a brand-new chandelier and views of the kitchen, the perfect setting for a romantic five course seasonal menu of fresh vegetables from the 1.5 acre Chef’s Garden.
After the meal, get cozy in one of the Inn’s 77 luxury guest rooms, all of which feature romantic spa-like bathrooms, cozy fireplaces, scenic terrace or balcony and window seat. Or, schedule a pre-dinner appointment at the spa, known for its “pinotherapy” treatment, a pinot-inspired botanical and biological therapy produced by wine and grape seed extracts derived from the property’s vineyard.
Sounds tres luxe indeed.
