For the first time Louis Vuitton is showcasing its entire Autumn-Winter 2015-16 men’s wear collection outside of its own shops in Europe. The French luxury brand has teamed up with Colette to open a pop-up store. Paris’s cult store, which is renowned for offering an assortment of fashion, high-tech, arts, streetwear, beauty and waters, is hosting the ephemeral Louis Vuitton shop from June 22th through July 18th. Located on the upper floor, LV’s first outpost at Colette pays homage to the creations of Christopher Nemeth, the late English fashion designer and artist.
The collection developed by Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton men’s collections, picks up on the famous cord print as well as the “Harajuku”-spirit silhouette that so influenced Nemeth’s work in Japan. Inspired by Nemeth’s exceptional archives, Kim Jones has brought the artist’s heritage into 2015 by innovating through new research into textiles and techniques.
Along with showcasing its entire men’s universe outside its own stores, Louis Vuitton is making its statement in all of Colette’s windows in form of exclusively designed displays. Shaped like its signature trunk, the jewel-box presentation showcases selected ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and watches, as well as an exclusive, limited edition of the Twister canvas tennis shoe.
