Louis Vuitton, renowned for its signature trunks and high-fashion creations, has made a promise to help needy children by teaming up with UNICEF. The French luxury house has committed to make a difference to the children of the world who are too often at risk, exposed to conflicts, diseases, natural disasters and other threatening situations. True to its style, Louis Vuitton kick-started the the noble cause by upping the glamour quotient at the 6th Biennial UNICEF Ball held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.Star-studded event was drooling with the crème de la crème of the fashion world who helped to raise over $2.5 million for UNICEF. Louis Vuitton’s newest face Lea Seydoux joined Nicolas Ghesquiere wearing a custom, black bodysuit gown. Celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, Selena Gomez, Adele Exarchopoulos and Miranda Kerr graced the event and the moments were captured by the lens of Patrick Demarchelier. Other notable guests included the likes of Xavier Dolan, Mariah Carey, Doona Bae, Tao Okamoto and Carina Lau, all dressed in Louis Vuitton designs.While David Beckham was honoured with the Humanitarian Leadership Award, presented to him by Elton John, for his work with the Seven Foundation, another highlight of the evening was Mariah Carey’s performance.As a part of the #Makeapromise movement, the French fashion house has designed a silver Lockit pendant and bracelet, each costing $500. Louis Vuitton will be donating $200 from each sale going to support UNICEF initiatives to help children in urgent need in more than 190 countries around the world.
