Catering to the well-heeled, for over 100 years, Louis Vuitton has been renowned for stylish canvas-covered travel case. Moving ahead with the time, the iconic monogram of the French fashion house started appearing on luxury products ranging from leather goods to ready-to-wear, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses, and books. At Baselworld 2014, Louis Vuitton unveiled new collection of bejeweled watches for women. Inspired by Louis Vuitton’s 2012 high jewelry collection, called Voyage dans le Temps, the 2014 Dentelle de Monogram watch collection is mesmerizing.
The Jewellery Editor reports that the Dentelle de Monogram pattern of flowers and stars more commonly found on Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks and leather goods are recreated with diamonds on either white or grey Polynesian mother-of-pearl dials for this collection. The ultimate piece of the lineup is the Louis Vuitton white gold Damier Absolu Rivière jewellery watch (featured above). It tells time in the most glamorous style by featuring brilliant-cut diamonds almost all over the watch. Moreover the three rows of invisible set baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel bedazzles the envious eyes. Since diamonds are a girl’s best friend, this time piece is enhanced by an entirely diamond-set dial and a diamond ‘rivière’ bracelet.
Another variant of the Louis Vuitton Damier Absolu watch in white gold features a dial made up of 60 slices of white mother of pearl, arranged in a checkerboard sunray pattern. This is encircled by a dazzling over-sized bezel encrusted with 90 baguette-cut diamonds. The white satin strap cuts down the bling for those who like to play it subtly.
You can also tell time Louis Vuitton style with this watch from the collection which is ornamented with a pearly white mother-of-pearl dial set with diamonds featuring the iconic LV flowers and stars motif. It is surrounded by a diamond-set bezel and black satin strap.
