Last Friday, Los Angeles fashion weekend was kicked off by RUNWAY Magazine and A&M Productions with quite the show. Taking place at the fab Hollywood venue, Boulvard3 on Sunset, this event was not all collections but also carried a great amount of entertainment value. Besides having runway shows of one talented designer after another, each show was introduced with a performance. Celebrating dance, art and pop culture, the production was equal parts exciting, entertaining and fashionable.
Designers featured included Meat Packing District, House of Devali as well as Puey Quinones who lit up the runway with bright greens, deep blues and asymmetrical cuts. Other great creative talents were Datari Austin, Zhang Jignjing who showed glamourous fairy tale gowns and Camille, during who’s jungle inspired show, Tarzan himself made an appearance.
VIP tickets were available for sale to benefit VH1 Save The Music Foundation and guests got to mingle prior to the show while snacking on hors d’oeuvres and listening to acoustic performances by Taylor Beckham & Araya Hicks.
