Liv Tyler Debuts Capsule Collection For Belstaff

American actress Liv Tyler launches a new Belstaff collection that she has created inspired by Amelia Earhart, the aviation pioneer who Belstaff dressed in the 1920s. The 12-piece capsule collection debuts along with a short film starring Liv and produced by her too. Liv_Tyler_Belstaff_1The brand ambassador and creative contributor for Belstaff co-designed the exclusive luxury collection along with Belstaff vice president of women’s design Delphine Ninous. The collection, dubbed Belstaff and Liv Tyler, focuses on strong outerwear silhouettes and leather finishing. Some of the highlights include a pea coat with a leather trim and gold buttons which accordring to Tyler “it could be your guy’s coat, or your grandfather’s.” The new iconic Riders Coat is up for $1,795.Liv_Tyler_Belstaff_riders-coat-brownTyler speaks about her collection that will hit the stores in September, “I wanted to express strength through the outerwear and leather pieces alongside a more feminine sensual side through the softer materials like silk, and via the more fitted silhouettes of my styles.” WWD also reports that the actress is set to work with Belstaff for a two-year period, and is already working on her next collection for the label.Liv_Tyler_Belstaff_3The British apparel and accessories brand released the new short film called ‘Falling Up’, in which Tyler retraces the footsteps of renowned aviator from the 20s Amelia Earhart, one of the first women ever dressed by Belstaff.
