After walking for two Chanel shows, 16-year-old Lily-Rose Depp makes her debut as the French luxury house’s latest ambassador. Lily-Rose is the face of Chanel’s Pearl eyewear collection and features in a series of stunning portraits and a video ad, which are shot by head designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Sporting two different pearl-encrusted sunglasses for the campaign, Lily is seen wearing a white Chanel blouse with beautiful metallic lace detailing on the collar and sleeves. Facing the camera with a perfect pout highlighted with bold plum red lip color, she wears her blonde hair in loose waves.The short video clip shows Lily-Rose striking pose and staring straight at the camera, before pulling her sunglasses down on her nose to reveal the dark smokey eyes.
The bejeweled line reimagines Chanel’s signature pearl embellishment into a series of sunglasses. Chanel’s Pearl eyewear collection is scheduled to hit the shelves in September.
Karl Lagerfeld goes gaga over his new muse, “Lily-Rose is ravishing, she is a girl from the new generation with star qualities” He also described the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis as a “baby doll in a world imbued with sweetness and femininity”.
The teen is not new to Chanel as Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose’s mother, has been modeling for the brand since 1991. Recently, the mother-daughter duo also walked in the brand’s casino-themed couture runway show at the Grand Palais in Paris.
