Lily James, the Lady Rose Aldridge from Downton Abbey, will soon be recognized as the newest face of Burberry’s My Burberry fragrances. The 27 year old English actress is taking over from current faces, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, to mark her first global advertising campaign. Lily James will launch the brand’s new My Burberry Black scent in August, via a film and print campaign shot by Mario Testino.
Recently appreciated for her title role in 2015 Disney film Cinderella, Lily speaks about her partnership with the British luxury fashion house, “I am thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry family. I am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot. Shooting my first campaign was so special – I don’t want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself…”
