The tablet market has been heating up, with companies announcing intentions of using Google’s Android operating system. But LG may be one of the first to actually bring the product to market.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, LG confirmed that that they intend to have a new tablet computer – running on a modified version of Windows 7 – later this year.
The success of the iPad (3 million units sold) has spurred other technology companies to jump into the tablet market.
There is no pricing information for the LG’s tablet.
