The Larry O’Brien Trophy was presented to the Los Angeles Lakers as 2020 NBA Finals Champions in a bespoke Louis Vuitton Travel Case.

The global partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) established Louis Vuitton as the first-ever Official Trophy Travel Case provider and marked a new chapter in the Maison’s long history of custom trunks for the world’s most coveted trophies.

“The NBA Finals is defined by iconic players and memorable performances, culminating with the presentation of The Larry O’Brien Trophy,” NBA deputy commissioner and COO Mark Tatum said back in January. “The tradition, heritage and identity of Louis Vuitton create a natural synergy with the NBA, and this partnership provides a unique and befitting way to showcase our championship trophy to our fans around the world.”

Hand-crafted in the Maison’s historic Asnières Ateliers on the outskirts of Paris, the trunk is coated in the emblematic Monogram canvas, fitted with traditional brass fixtures, and adorned with the iconic V in white with blue and red details. Inside, the NBA’s official dark blue color lines the case to showcase the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
