Kia and DC Entertainment collectively have come up with a Batman-themed Optima SX Limited aka Bat-Kia. This “super” vehicle was unveiled in New York. The renowned Korean carmaker has partnered with the legendry comics publisher ‘DC Entertainment’ to kickstart an awareness campaign — this unique charity campaign known as ‘We Can Be Heroes’ will help eradicate hunger in Horn of Africa.
Bat-Kia is just one amongst many superhero-inspired cars from different automakers that will be unveiled over the next ten months at major auto shows and comic-cons across the US. As of now, the car dedicated to Batman is a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline four version that operates at 274 horsepower and is coupled to 6-speed automatic transmission. Interiors of the black colored midsized sedan have black leather finishing with yellow colored stitching onto it. Various Batman elements including Bat symbol, under chassis yellow LED lights, a custom front grille shaped like a batwing, etc., have been integrated in order to give it a complete Batmobile makeover. The car looks much inspired from the Batmobiles of the 30’s and 40’s. The transformed Optima having lowered suspension (20-inch wheels) is sure to please any Batman fan.
