Hollywood actress Kate Winslet’s Spring 2012 campaign for St. John has been revealed, with the star emphasizing how the new line will appeal to curvaceous women. Winslet was announced as the label’s newest face last May, following in the footsteps of supermodels Gisele Bundchen and Karen Elson and film star Angelina Jolie.
Judging by the just-released video where the actress discusses the delicate Spring collection, it appears the upscale US fashion brand is looking to appeal to more curvaceous consumers. “What I love is that the lines are a lot more relaxed and yet at the same time they still give shape. So you still get those lovely feminine curves which to me are very important,” she explains.
“You don’t have to be a size 2 or 4 to be able to wear these garments because they fall so well. They are cut for women with a shape and of course I love that. That is me all over.”
Pieces showcased from the collection include a peach knitted jumper, a white jacket, a gray belted wrap dress and a pair of pleated gray trousers, which Winslet says are ideal for “women with hips.”
