Karl goes Hollywood as Tiffany Cooper depicts the fashion genius and his world-renowned cat Choupette in the posters of the most famous films. Watch out for Karl Lagerfeld in Bill and Bond’s avatar!
The movie-inspired vision of the French cartoonist has manifested in form of 10 movie posters. The limited-edition Hollywood movie posters illustrate the messiah of the fashion world as the main character of films in the form of Karl Bill for “Kill Bill,” Karl Bond for “James Bond,” Gossip Karl for “Gossip Girl” and Karl Kong for “King Kong.” The titles have been intentionally reworked to include his name.
Karlywood poster collection comprises of 20 copies of each print. Numbered and signed by the cartoonist, all posters are available for sale at Karl Lagerfeld Store on 194 bvd St Germain until the end of April. To launch Ms. Cooper’s exhibit, Karl Lagerfeld held an in-store event attended by Vogue International’s Suzy Menkes, models Emily Ratajkowski and Sasha Luss and musicians The Misshapes.
Also at the store, a cute little sticker of Karl, Choupette and Tiffany Cooper is given with the purchase of each Karlywood poster. The German fashion designer and the French cartoonist have recently teamed up for a capsule collection of apparels and accessories too.
