Fendi celebrates the opening of its new Madison Avenue opening as well as the 3Baguette Bag project. To felicitate the milestone, Karl Lagefeld hosted a dinner attended by the elite A-listers of the industry. Though a pre-dinner cocktail held at the store kick-started the festivity in the evening, it was Karl’s bash that escalated the merrymaking to its fullest.
Hosting the celebration on the 83rd floor of One57, when asked what he thinks of the apartment, he modestly commented, “It’s beautiful and I like it for a party. I’m not sure I’d like it for living… It’s a little like being on a showcase, no?” It is the same Midtown Manhattan skyscraper we are talking about that made it to the news as one of its penthouse recently sold for $100 million making it the most expensive apartment in NYC.
While designers of the 3Baguette bags, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jourdan Dunn, Leandra Medine and Rachel Feinstein were the special guests of the evening, Hailey Baldwin, Hailee Steinfeld, Rosario Dawson, Naomi Campbell, Zoe Kravitz, Sofia Coppola were just a few of the others names that upped the ante.
Most of the ladies made it to the invitees list because they had charities, they are nice people and they are known by all, according to the creative designer of Chanel. Clad in Fendi bodyhugger with a pink chinchilla draped over her shoulders, Rihanna walked in late and stole the show by cuddling up to the octogenarian host.
