The Italian retailer Calzedonia isn’t much known in the U.S. However their latest move of roping in American actress Julia Roberts again for their newest TV commercial for 2015 will endorse and strengthen their presence on the American soil. The company is ready to enter the U.S. market with store openings, starting from New York.The Italian hosiery, innerwear and beachwear brand Calzedonia’s new ad campaign features the Pretty Woman star for the second time. Set as a light comedy inside a Calzedonia shop especially erected for the reason in Los Angeles, the commercial is directed by Grant Heslov. He happens to be Julia’s personal friend as well as the winner of Academy Award as a producer for “Argo”.Flashing her million dollar smile and not baring her skin, she plays the role of shopper-mistaken-as-a-shop-assistant in the movie. Wearing a chic black and white mini-dress for the campaign, she also quotes in an interview that quality, comfort, fun define Calzedonia. When asked which values of the Italian brand does she identify with most, she added “I love the spirit of family that is the company itself.”WWD states that Julia Robert’s reappointment coincides with the brand’s expansion plans and business development, not only in Italy but also foreign markets. Calzedonia also owns the brands Tezenis, Falconeri and Intimissimi.
